Monticello Village Offices Closed
April 16, 2020
On the evening of Tuesday, March 31st, the President of the Monticello Village Board Leaora Miller announced on a Facebook post that they had closed the village clerk’s office to the public on Monday, March 30, 2020, until further notice.
Miller noted that the recycling center would remain open its normal hours, Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Residents are asked to remain in their vehicles until the attendant instructs them further and to follow all directions posted at the recycling center.
Garbage pick up is continuing as usual, bags must be to the curb by 7:00 a.m. on Tuesdays. Miller reminds residents to keep the bags under 40 lbs, as they will not be picked up if over that limit. Stickers may be purchased at the recycling center for $2.50 per sticker, or Gempeler’s Supermarket for $2.75 per sticker.
While Spring Clean Up is still happening on Monday, April 20, the E-Waste event has been cancelled. Items must be on the curb by 7:00 a.m.
If you have any sewer/water emergencies, please contact Public Works Director Kevin Komprood at (608) 558-5461.
Miller also reminds residents that all parks and playgrounds are closed. Walking on the trails and sidewalks through the parks is permitted, but there is to be no playing on the playgrounds. If you have any questions or needs, you may contact Miller at (608) 214-8137.
