This tier includes healthcare workers, individuals in long term care facilities, mortuary workers, and police and fire personnel, as defined by the Wisconsin State Disaster Medical Advisory Committee. Our department is in contact with organizations and agencies who are a part of this tier to coordinate vaccination efforts.

Individuals age 65 and older are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine as of January 25th. Green County Public Health’s vaccinating efforts will continue to focus on the groups included in Phase 1A – healthcare/personal care workers, individuals in long term facilities, mortuary workers, police and fire personnel. Beginning the week of Monday, January 25th, our department is offering the COVID-19 vaccine to people 65 years of age and older who are residents at senior living facilities.

Individuals who are 65 years of age and older and are interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine should check the website of their healthcare provider or local pharmacy. Those who do not have access to internet or a computer may consider calling their health care provider or local pharmacy in the coming weeks.
