Wildcats Currently in First Place in Cap South Conference

On January 24th, the Belleville Wildcats varsity boys basketball team hosted Turner. Up 47-28 at the half, Belleville went on to win. The final score was Belleville 85-Turner 56.

Leading Belleville with 21 points was Trevor Syse, while Anthony Nolden and Jack Erickson each scored 11 points.

The Wildcats played at Poynette on January 25th. With a 46-17 halftime lead, Belleville went on to win the game, 88-45.

Trevor Syse led the Wildcats in scoring, with 20, while DeMarcus Conner scored 15 points and Jack Erickson put 9 points on the board.

On January 27th, Belleville played at Wisconsin Heights. A halftime score was not available, but Belleville lost this game to the Vanguards. The final score was Wisconsin Heights 77, Belleville 68.

Andrew Ace led Belleville with 18 points, while Carson Syse scored 15 points and Trevor Syse scored 9 points.

On January 31st, the Wildcats played at Dodgeville. Dodgeville led at the half, 42-28 and went on to win the game. The final score was Dodgeville 83, Belleville 70.

The Wildcats were led in scoring by Carson Syse, who scored 16 points, while Anthony Nolden scored 15 points and Gavin Boyum and Jack Erickson each scored 8 points.

The Wildcats hosted Watertown Luther Prep on February 8th. With a 53-34 lead at the half, Belleville was able to hold on during the second half to win the game. The final score was Belleville 89, Watertown Luther Prep 70.

Carson Syse led Belleville with 27 points, while Trevor Syse scored 12 points and Andrew Ace and Anthony Nolden each put 10 points on the board.

On February 10th, Belleville played at Cambridge. Down 1-point at the half, Belleville’s offense stepped it up in the second to outscore Cambridge and win the game. The final score was Belleville 78, Cambridge 63.

Leading Belleville with 23 points was Carson Syse, while Trevor Syse scored 18 points and Anthony Nolden scored 15 points.

Belleville hosted Waterloo on February 12th. Leading 41-18 at the half, the Wildcats cruised to a 74-31 victory over the Pirates.

Carson Syse scored 24 points for Belleville and had 3 rebounds, while Trevor Syse scored 16 points and pulled down 12 rebounds and Kaden Desmet scored 10 points.

The Wildcats played at Marshall on February 15th. They will play at Waterloo on February 18th and close out the regular season at home against Wisconsin Heights on February 24th. Currently, they have an overall record of 16-5, 6-1 in the Cap South, and are in first place in the Capitol South conference.
