New Glarus Post Prom

This year we are planning a Post Prom trip to the newly opened Dave & Busters. The Post Prom Party will begin at 11:30 p.m., loading the buses for the trip and returning to New Glarus and be finished at 4:30 a.m., following Prom on May 5th.
Students that are interested should sign-up in the High School office. Prizes include choice of an iPad, laptop computer, TV and many other wonderful prizes.

Monticello High School Post Prom 2018

The Monticello High School Post Prom Planning Committee is in the process of planning the 2018 Post Prom Party. This year the party, to be held following the Junior Prom on Saturday, April 21, 2018, will be held at the Monticello High School.
The students will be spending the night enjoying pizza, soda and a variety of activities, including a swimming, basketball and games at the Green County YMCA. The committee is dependent upon donations to help with providing a fun event and to keep our students safe during prom night.

Monticello School to Hold Garage Sale Fundraiser for Green Cares Food Pantry

On Friday, April 27, as part of the Monticello School District’s Day of Service, a Garage Sale will be held at the school, starting at 9:30 a.m.
There will be lots of clothes and other treasures! All proceeds will go to Green Cares Food Pantry.

Zwingli Kalberwurst Supper

The annual Kalberwurst Supper will be held at Zwingli United Church of Christ, 416 E. Lake Avenue, on Saturday, April 21, 2018, from 4:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
The menu, served family style, includes Kalberwurst (donated by Clarence and Pat Pluss), Ham, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Copper Penny Carrots, Applesauce, Swiss Bread, Cookies and Bars. Carry outs are available. Adult tickets are $13.00; children 5-10 years old, $6.00; and children 4 and under eat free.

A Night at the Museum

Be the first to see the Monticello Historical Society’s new exhibit, “Monticello of Yesteryear” on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at the Monticello Historical Museum, 204 N. Main Street.
The event will take place from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., and there is a suggested donation of $25.00 per person. Enjoy wine and cheese with fellow historians and museum supporters.

Belleville Prescription Drug Take Back Day

The Belleville Prescription Drug Take Back Day addresses a crucial public safety and public health issue. According to the 2015 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 6.4 million Americans abused controlled prescription drugs. The study shows that a majority of abused prescription drugs were obtained from family and friends, often from the home medicine cabinet.

Preliminary Library Design Presentation

Architectural design work on the new Belleville Public Library and Community Center has begun. The public is invited to a presentation by FEH Design on the preliminary schematic design plans followed by a time for public comment and questions. The presentation will be held on Wednesday, April 25, at the current library at 130 S. Vine Street, from 6:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.
“We encourage community members to offer their feedback early in the process,” said Library Director Bronna Lehmann. “Additional public comment sessions will be scheduled as the design progresses.”

BHS Fine Arts Night Rescheduled

The Fine Arts Night that was on the community calendar for April 25th has been canceled.  Instead, the event will be incorporated into the Jazz in the Park concert that is scheduled for Wednesday, May 23rd, at 6:30 p.m., at Library Park, downtown Belleville.
This concert will feature both the Belleville High School Jazz Ensemble and the Vocal Jazz Ensemble, with music beginning at 6:30 p.m.  The art department will have art exhibits with some pieces for sale, along with some crafts from the technical education department.  Come join us for a spring celebration of Belleville Arts.

Schwoegler's Sugar River Lanes to Host 2018 Belleville Post Prom

Wanted: Belleville High School students! We want Schwoegler’s Sugar River Lanes to be filled with laughter and excitement from students! There will be great entertainment, activities, food and beverages, and prizes.
Who: All Belleville High School students are welcome and encouraged to attend, whether they go to prom or not.

Middle School Students of the Month - March

On Friday, April 6, Belleville Middle School staff recognized Students-of-the-Month for March. Teachers acknowledged the selected students' efforts in front of their 7th and 8th grade peers. Students received a certificate from their nominating teacher, a Catty Shack buck for the school store, and a 3-D printed Wildcat from Mrs. Swenson. They also had the opportunity to put their handprints up in the Commons.
