Wisconsin Counties Receive Much-needed Veterinary Services

Twenty-eight counties in Wisconsin previously underserved by veterinarians will now get some added help thanks to a federal program administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture.  The Veterinary Medicine Loan Repayment Program (VMLRP) helps provide veterinary services in rural, underserved areas by awarding loan repayment benefits to new veterinarians in exchange for a three-year commitment to serve in a shortage area.

Trees Available from Green County Land & Water Conservation Dept.

Remember about a month ago, the warmer weather and the colorful fall foliage? Weren’t we blessed and thankful for the wonderful colors? How about during the hot summer? We were all thankful to have some shade from trees. The birds, squirrels, rabbits, and other critters were thankful to have a home and food from the trees. Do you want to keep the colors and shade coming or wish to keep the birds singing and the animals cavorting? The trees and forests always need to be replenished. One way of replenishing them is to replant new, younger trees.
