On Saturday, December 5, the Sugar River Raiders varsity wrestling team participated in the Black Hawk Invite at Black Hawk High School.
All varsity members placed in the top 8 out in a 16 man bracket.
Max Gerner, competing in the 120 lb weight class, placed fourth and received a bye in the first round. In the second round, Gerner won by fall over Caleb Lenzendorf of River Ridge/Cassville. Gerner lost in the third round to Conner Nolan of Parkview, and lost in the third place match by fall to Cade Furgason of Richland Center.

The Belleville boys basketball team traveled to Wisconsin Dells on Saturday, December 5th, losing 40-63.
Drew Shrader led the team with 15 points. Daniel Meier scored 14 points and Nick Richter put 7 on the board.
The team traveled to Lake Mills on December 8th and will face Watertown Luther Prep at home on Saturday, December 12.

The Monticello boys basketball team traveled to Belmont on Monday, November 30th, to face the Braves.
Belmont took a commanding first half lead, scoring 20 unanswered points. Monticello finally got on the board with 6:32 remaining in the first, but they were never really in the game, losing to Belmont with a score of 25-66.
Logan Marty led the Ponies with 14 points, and Jon Errthum contributed 6 points. Marty also led the team in rebounds, with five. Dez Hanenberger and Jon Errthum had four rebounds a piece.

The annual Green County Steer Weigh-In will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at Equity Livestock, located south of Monroe, from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. In case of inclement weather, the snow date will be Saturday, January 9. An announcement will be made over WEKZ radio prior to 8:00 a.m. on the morning of January 2nd if the weigh-in will be re-scheduled due to inclement weather.
