Come to the Stateline Home & Business Expo

The Stateline Home & Business Expo will be held Friday, April 1, from Noon until 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, April 2, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., at the SLICE Arena in Monroe. More than 60 area businesses will be offering deals only available at the Expo, new merchandise and the latest trends from home improvement to self-improvement.

Become a Monroe Clinic Hospice Volunteer

Monroe Clinic Hospice invites the community to help give comfort and support to the terminally ill and their families by becoming a volunteer. Hospice volunteers join a team of professionals who help patients live out their lives to the fullest.
Those interested should attend the six-week hospice volunteer training 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m., April 6 through May 11, at the St. Camillus Center, 2101 6th Street, Monroe. The training is free and open to all. For more information or to register, call (608) 324-1230.

Belleville Bobcat Youth Football Inc.

An Informational Meeting for the 2016 Fall Football Season will take place on Thursday, April 7th, at the Belleville High School Commons. The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m.

Lady Knights Lose to Evansville Blue Devils

The New Glarus Knights softball team traveled on Evansville on Tuesday, March 22nd, where they lost to the Blue Devils, 14-4.
The Blue Devils scored six runs in the first inning.
An RBI single by Ashley Judd at the top of the third inning allowed Kelly Fredrickson to score, bringing the score to 8-1, with the Blue Devils on top.
Nikki Bushee hit a two-run single in the fourth inning, and a fielder’s choice for the Knights brought the score to 10-4, Evansville.
Knights Pitcher Riley Parker allowed 14 runs in four innings, walked two and struck out five.

Youth Wrestlers Go to State

Five Sugar River youth wrestlers took to the mats on Friday and Saturday in Madison for State Folkstyle competition. 
Joe Quaglia wrestled Friday in the 2003-2004 76# weight class.  He wrestled two tough matches but unfortunately got beat in both and was eliminated to go on.  This was Joe's second trip to State in three years!

New Glarus Knights – WBCA Champions!

The New Glarus 8th grade boys basketball team recently participated in the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) grade school championship at Just-A-Game Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells.  On Saturday, March 12th, the Knights competed against schools similar in enrollment and size.  Finishing the day with a 3-0 record, the Knights claimed the championship.  Other teams in NG's 8th grade bracket included Mineral Point, Lancaster and Randolph.

Girl's Softball Warm-up Clinic

On Sunday, April 10, the Verona Area Girls Softball Association (VAGSA) will be hosting a Pre-Season Warm-up Clinic from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Verona Area High School Main Gym. Athletes will be separated by age into two-hour clinics. Participating age groups run 10U-16U, or birth years 2001-2008. The cost for the clinic is $25.00 with advance registration, or $30.00 on the day of the clinic (register at time of attending).
