Girls Swim Team Takes Seventh at Fort Atkinson Invitational

At the Fort Atkinson invite on Saturday, Oct. 17, “Monroe/New Glarus went in two varsity swimmers short but still came out scoring 49 more points than last year and placed seventh, and they did it with three less swimmers than in 2014,” explained Head Coach Linda Moser. “The JV swimmers stepped up to the challenge of helping fill the gaps on the relays, and two of the three B relays scored. That is what team is all about, making things happen no matter what the circumstance!”

New Glarus FCCLA and Jr FCCLA Participate in Leadership Academy

The New Glarus FCCLA and Jr. FCCLA traveled to American Family Insurance in Madison, WI, to participate in a Leadership Academy. The FCCLA members went to different breakout sessions and learned a wealth of knowledge about leadership. Some sessions included how to create a Star Event, different national events that can help your chapter's community and how you can charge yourself with FCCLA. The theme for 2015 is to empower, or me-power, yourself and others.  We look forward to going to the State Leadership Conference in April.
