Many people want to give back to the community, but may not have a lot of time to volunteer. The American Red Cross reminds eligible individuals that in only about an hour, volunteer blood donors can help save lives and feel instant gratification.
Blood is a perishable product that can only come from generous volunteers. By donating blood, individuals can make a difference in the lives of patients in their community and throughout the nation.

Join your family and friends at the Zwingli United Church of Christ, 416 E. Lake Avenue, Monticello, on Sunday, February 26, 2017, for a Mardi Gras Dinner at 11:30 a.m.
Traditional New Orleans cuisine will be served at the dinner. <strong> Tickets must be purchased at the church office by Sunday, February 22, 2017. </strong> Tickets are $10.00.

Fourteen middle school student qualifiers (five from 7th grade and nine from 8th graders) participated in Belleville Middle School's 2017 Spelling Bee on Tuesday, January 24.
After more than 10 rounds, Cole Monroe won the competition by correctly spelling the championship word. He will represent Belleville at the regional spelling bee in Stoughton.
Christian Hakala was the runner-up.

If getting paid to ship packages from your home sounds too good to be true, it’s because it is. A town of Dunn woman recently found herself in a frightening situation, after she responded to an email via a job-seekers website. The email appeared to be from a legitimate business, offering to pay individuals up to $3500 per month plus commission, to receive and then forward packages to another address. The woman filled out the online application using her personal information and signed other official looking documents. Even the company’s website looked legitimate.
