Downtown Area Road Closures During New Glarus' 28th Polkafest

The New Glarus Roger Bright Polkafest, one of the community’s longest running festivals, will draw visits to downtown New Glarus from Friday, June 9th, through Sunday, June 111th. In addition, the 6th annual Beer, Bacon & Cheese event will be held on Saturday, June 10th, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Polkafest hours are as follows: Friday, June 9th, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Saturday, June 10th, from 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Sunday, June 11th, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the New Glarus Hotel.

<strong>Heller Participates in Commencement Ceremony at CSB</strong>
<strong>Molly Heller</strong>, daughter of Karla Nodorft, Monticello, MN, and Mike Heller, Belleville, Wisconsin, participated in the 102nd annual Commencement Ceremony at the College of Saint Benedict on May 13th at the Clemens Field House on the CSB campus, St. Joseph, Minnesota. Heller received a Bachelor of Arts in an individualized - Natural Science Major.

Sugar River Raiders Win Regionals

The Sugar River Raiders kicked off their postseason action on Thursday, June 1st. The number two-seeded Raiders faced the fifteenth-seeded Wautoma co-op. The girls jumped out to an early lead, and led the rest of the game. They won 10-0, and six different girls scored for the Raiders.

New Glarus Graduation

New Glarus High School Commencement Exercises for the Class of 2017 were held on Sunday, June 4, 2017, in the High School Gym. The New Glarus Class of 2017 garnered more than $520,000 in scholarships, with almost $80,000 being local money. Belleville EMS Open House

Belleville EMS held their annual Open House on Wednesday, May 24th. Visitors were able to tour the facility and check out the ambulance and fire truck, and much more. Belleville Police Department Mounted Patrol Horses Champ and Tazer were also present.
