New Glarus Area Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is planning its annual community Open House and “Keeping the Pulse” run/walk for Saturday, June 10th.
The event provides an opportunity for those of all ages to learn more about emergency medicine, enjoy fun activities and good food, and meet the people who respond to calls for help in the New Glarus community.
It’s also an important annual fundraiser to support the work of EMS, and every dollar raised goes to support the ambulance service and the equipment it needs to provide around the clock care, 365 days of the year.

The Women’s Guild of Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello is sponsoring their annual Summer Supper on Friday, June 9, 2017, from 5:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m., in Fellowship Hall at 416 E. Lake Avenue. We are handicapped accessible.
The menu includes Barbecues, Brats, Potato Salad, Deviled Eggs, Fruit Pies, Angel Food Cake or Chocolate Cake, Strawberry or Chocolate Sundaes, Ice Cream and Beverages. Items are priced separately. Carry outs are available.
At 7:00 p.m., Erin Lehr, the 2016-2017 Monticello Dairy Queen will crown the new Monticello Dairy Queen for 2017-2018.

Denise Rankin and Taylor Halvensleben recently received scholarships from the Belleville Kiwanis Club.

The Green County Clean Sweep Program continues through October 31, 2017, at the Green County Landfill, W2002 County Road SS, Brodhead. The hours are Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., and the first Saturday of each month from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
