Belleville Victorious over Waterloo

On February 2nd, the Lady Wildcats played at Marshall. “The game started with Marshall pressing with and getting our team (Belleville) speed up. Marshall just took it to us in the first half. We weren’t able to stop them in any aspect of the game. The highlight of the first half was at the end of the half where Krista Diaz grabbed a loose ball and drained a 3 as time expired,” said Coach Kerry Steinagel.
Belleville headed to the locker room trailing at the half, 20-57.

New Glarus Girls Win Over Waterloo and Cambridge

On February 2nd, the New Glarus girls basketball team played in Waterloo. The Lady Knights were ahead by 14 at the half and held on to their lead for the rest of the game.
Coach Kim Burton said, “Willow Lee ignited the offense at the beginning of the game and she never looked back throughout.  She led all scorers with a career high 21 points.  Her teammates did an excellent job of getting her the ball in the paint knowing that she had the “hot hand.”  Eight other New Glarus players contributed to the well balanced scoring attack.”
