^Snoopy!!!^" The Musical"

Monticello High School students will be performing<i> Snoopy!!! </i>The Musical on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, March 13, 2016, at 2:00 p.m., in the Rehmstedt Gym.
Ticket prices are $8.00 for the general public, $7.00 if purchased in advance from the school office, and $5.00 for children, students and seniors.

Blood Drive Results and Thank You

The American Red Cross Blood Drive was held in Monticello on Friday, February 26, 2016. Forty-seven people came to the Zwingli Church on a mild and overcast day to donate blood and to give the gift of life.

Spring is in the air! The Monticello Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce we are working once again with Monticello Community Club, Monticello Lions and Lionesses, and the Monticello Fire Department to kick off this spring season with plenty of fun for all!

Monticello Comprehensive Plan Update

A Community Input Forum will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at Gabriella’s Restaurant, 149 N. Main St., Monticello, for the ten-year Monticello Comprehensive Plan. This forum’s activities will focus on Economic Development, including discussing a culture of development and growth, workforce training and quality of life, and tourism and attraction.

Monticello High School Post Prom 2016

The Monticello High School Post Prom Planning Committee is in the process of planning the 2016 Post Prom Party. This year the party, to be held following the Junior Prom on Saturday, April 30, 2016, will be held at Helium Trampoline and Climbing in New Berlin, Wisconsin.
The committee is dependent upon donations to help with providing a fun event and to keep our students safe during prom night. If you haven’t already done so, please consider assisting with this important endeavor by providing a monetary donation or door prize.

Ag Scholarships Available From Monticello FFA Alumni

If you are pursuing a career related to agriculture and are currently halfway through your coursework in college, technical school or a short course program, congratulations, you are eligible to earn money for additional educational expenses through the Monticello FFA Alumni. The Monticello FFA Alumni will be offering scholarships to eligible students. Monticello Historical Society March Meeting and Presentation

The Monticello Historical Society will meet on March 22, 2016, at 7:00 p.m., in the Lounge at Zwingli United Church of Christ, 416 E. Lake Avenue, Monticello, WI.
A slide show will follow the general meeting at approximately 7:20 p.m. WWII Veteran Robert Getman and Paul Rieder (Robert's flight escort) will talk about Badger Honor Flight, Mr. Getman's WWII service as a Marine Radio Operator aboard a C-47 in the South Pacific, and their one-day trip to Washington, D.C., in September of 2015. Question and answer will follow the presentation.

Monticello FCCLA Competes in STAR Events

Members of the Monticello FCCLA chapters competed in FCCLA Region 6 STAR Events on Monday, February 29th, at Oregon High School.  Receiving gold placings were Emily Koch and Claire Klossner, in Food Innovations, and Alyssa Holcomb and Mackenize Errthum, in Focus on Children.  Silver placings were awarded to Peter Gustafson and Simon Blohowiak, in Entreprenuership, and Sarah Blumer, in Career Investigation. 
Congratulations as they all qualified to move on to state competition on April 19th during the FCCLA State Leadership Conference.

Save The Date!

Belleville Area EMS is pleased to announce that their Pork Chop Dinner will be held again this year on Sunday, June 19, 2016 (Father’s Day). The Dinner will be held at the EMS Building with seatings at 11:00 a.m, 12:00 NOON and 1:00 p.m. The menu will include a Pork Chop, Baked Potato, Vegetable, Roll, Butter, Milk, Coffee and Ice Cream. The cost of the meal will be $10.00. Deliveries will be available. Tickets will be available from all members starting May 1, 2016.
