The Dane County Fair is seeking candidates for the position of the 2016 Dane County Fairest of the Fair. Applications must be postmarked by Friday, March 18, 2016, with an interview and selection process to follow Sunday, April 3, 2016.

Belleville Music Students Participate in Solo and Ensemble

On February 27th, students from Belleville High School and Middle School traveled to Waterloo to participate in the District Solo and Ensemble. The performances ranged from vocal and instrumental solos, to duets, trios, quartets, and even large groups such as Jazz Band, Vocal Jazz, Brass Ensemble, and Woodwind Ensemble. Students who received a rating of a starred first in Class A will be participating in State Solo Ensemble at UW-Platteville on April 30th. Mrs. Meir and Mrs.

The Belleville Girls Basketball Team announced their 2015-2016 season award winners recently. Samantha Christen was named Co-Most Improved Player; Aimee Sies was named Co-Most Improved Player and Tara Hanna was named Most Valuable Player and 2nd Team All-Conference Capitol South; Grace Schulting was named Honorable Mention All-Conference Capitol South. Captains for the Belleville Girls Varsity Basketball Team include Krista Diaz, Junior; Taylor Legler, Senior, and Tara Hanna, Senior.

Local Master Gardener Symposium to be Held March 12

The Green County Master Gardeners Association (GCMGA) is excited to present their 9th Annual Gardening Symposium “Garden Inspirations for All Seasons –Tasteful Gardening for Style and Fun” will be held on Saturday, March 12th, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Peppercorn Banquets at the Ludlow Mansion, 1421 Mansion Drive, Monroe. Both experienced and novice gardeners are encouraged to attend this public seminar. Participants will receive lunch, refreshments and resource materials with their paid registration.
