16th Annual Pedal For Paws Benefit Bike Ride

All new routes depart downtown from Village Park in New Glarus. 25, 45, and 65-mile routes with varying elevations up 3,500 feet. Helmets are required for all participants.
Check in starts at 7:00 a.m. Complimentary rest/refreshment stops. SAG service provided until 2:00 p.m.
<strong>Registration</strong>
<strong>On or before July 3, 2017: </strong> Individual - $40.00, includes moisture wick t-shirt. Family - $55.00 (two adults and two children), includes two t-shirts. Additional children - $15.00 per person, includes one t-shirt.

Street Closures for Monticello's Homecoming

The Monticello Police Department would like to invite everyone to attend the Monticello Homecoming Festivities on July 6 – 9, 2017.  We hope everyone would take the time to enjoy this wonderful family festival.
<strong>We would like to remind everyone that all alcoholic beverages must be consumed within the licensed establishments and permitted areas of the park. Those found to be consuming or possession of alcohol outside of those areas will be cited for the violation(s), forfeiture of $200.50 per offense.</strong>

Monticello PTO Pony Trot

The 2nd Annual Monticello PTO Pony Trot will be held Saturday, July 8. The event consists of a 1K Little Pony Run starting at 8:00 a.m., and a 5K Fun Run at 8:30 a.m. The event will be at Monticello Schools, with registration opening on the playground at 7:00 a.m. Bathrooms and showers will be available.

Washington Church Music Festival

On July 4, 1876, a celebration was held on the new foundation of Washington Church that included music and food. Over the years, the church as continued the tradition, keeping their reputation for good music and good food.
This year’s celebration will be held on Tuesday, July 4, 2017, from 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. The first band plays at Noon, and music includes Greg and Lonnie Wild, featuring Bill Gempeler and Mark Gruenenfelder; Country Four; the Keith Zweifel Band; and Greg Anderson.

Dane County Announces Affordable Housing Development Fund Recipients

County Executive Joe Parisi has announced that almost $2 million from the Affordable Housing Development Fund will be awarded to six projects to assist in the creation of affordable housing in Dane County. Recipients of this year’s fund include Gorman & Company, the Dane County Housing Authority, MSP Real Estate, the Retirement Housing Foundation, and Movin’ Out, Inc.

BCHIP Announces Bastille Day Fun Run

Belleville Community Health Improvement Project (BCHIP) is announcing the Bastille Day Fun Run – 2017 will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017. Beginning at 128 W. Main Street, in Belleville, the 5K run/walk begins at 9:00 p.m. This is a unique opportunity to celebrate Belleville’s French heritage on a course that is flat with gently rolling streets in and around downtown Belleville. We welcome participants of all ages and abilities.

Green County Dairy Day Show Results 2017

The 2017 Green County Dairy Days Cattle Show concluded on Saturday, June 17th, with enormous success. This year’s show was hosted by the Argyle Community and took place at the Green County Fairgrounds in Monroe, Wisconsin. There was a great turnout of spectators and sponsors to cheer on the 43 youth from three different counties who came out to participate.
