The New Glarus baseball team played at Wisconsin Heights on May 15th, losing 5-6. Wisconsin Heights came out with an early 3-1 lead, and the Knights pulled ahead in the top of the 5th, scoring four runs. Heights then scored three more runs, two in the bottom of the sixth, to take the win.
Matthew Jackson was 2x3 at bat, with one run scored, while Noah Zimmerman was 2x3 at bat with 3 RBIs. Cooper Dreyfus, Andrew Nimtz, Connor Siegenthaler and Zach Feller all scored one run each for the Knights.

The New Glarus Dairy Queen will be named during the Stuessy-Kuenzi American Legion Auxiliary’s Annual Ice Cream Social on Wednesday, June 6, 2018.
The social and ceremony will be held at the American Legion Hall, located at 1121 2nd Street, New Glarus. The menu includes barbecue sandwiches, potato salad, chips, pie, ice cream, cheese and beverages. Serving will begin at 4:30 p.m., with the Dairy Queen crowning taking place at 6:00 p.m. All are cordially invited to attend.

The Belleville Fire Department held their 22nd Annual Door County Style Fish Boil on Saturday, May 19th at the fire station. According to the department, 715 meals were served.

The Women’s Guild of Zwingli United Church of Christ, Monticello, is sponsoring their annual Summer Supper on Friday, June 8, 2018, from 5:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m., in Fellowship Hall. The church is located at 416 E. Lake Avenue, and is handicapped accessible.
The menu includes Barbecues, Brats, Potato Salad, Deviled Eggs, Fruit Pies, Angel Food or Chocolate Cake, Strawberry or Chocolate Sundaes, Ice Cream and Beverages. Items are priced separately and carry outs are available.
